Joe Pat Covington For Scott County Judge Executive

With careful consideration and much encouragement from my family and friends, I have decided to run for the office of  Scott County Judge Executive. Scott County is my home and I have dedicated the first part of my life to my community’s youth and education. That service will continue in office as your Judge, committing my time, energy, and proven leadership skills to address concerns and issues affecting this community.

My experience in leading one of the largest high schools in Kentucky definitely has prepared me for the demands of the County Judge’s office. My experience includes progressive planning for the future, overseeing a large staff and budget, communicating with community partners and businesses, addressing issues, and managing conflicts.

Friends, I love Scott County and desire to commit myself fully to the office of Judge Executive. I am an experienced trustworthy leader, as well as a sincere and progressive thinker. I have confidence in my candidacy; however, I cannot do this alone and time is of the essence. To be successful in this endeavor, my campaign will require a strong grassroots organization, needing seed money for brochures, flyers, yard signs, and all the other costs associated with running for an elected office. Your support is much needed, which includes volunteering with my campaign, talking with friends, neighbors and coworkers.
